Set in the unspoilt and peaceful village of Compton Dando in the beautiful Chew Valley, it is within easy reach of Bath , Bristol and Wells and the Chew Valley lakes. An ideal base for walking, cycling or simply relaxing
From Bath
Take the A4 west towards Bristol. After the dual carriageway, take the second turning at the roundabout (by the Globe pub). Follow the A39 signposted to Wells. Go through the village of Corston, after a mile pass the Wheatsheaf pub on the right. You will soon come to a car sales garage on a sharp bend. Turn here. Take the narrow lane straight ahead which is signposted to Compton Dando. After one mile turn right at the T junction. Follow the signpost to Keynsham. Over the humpbacked bridge over the river and after a hundred yards, you will come to Cottage Garden on the left.
From Bristol
Take the A4 east towards Bath. After several miles, at the end of dual carriageway, turn right to Keynsham (third exit off roundabout). Pass Esso petrol station on left and turn left at mini roundabout (first exit) by Chinese takeaway. Take first turning on the right which is signposted to Chewton Keynsham and Compton Dando. Come down Fairy Hill (see the second map) and Cottage Garden is the first house on the right.
